Jon had his first steps on a prosthetic leg!
The prosthetic guys asked Jon come in this past week to make some adjustments on his new socket and leg they are building. (What’s the socket? It’s a plastic shell molded to the exact shape of his stump that attaches to his prosthetic leg.)
Jon begins extensive training on his new leg next week. He says it’s amazing how you have to learn how to walk all over again. Thinking about every step. Continue to pray we can get the Gen X-3 leg. The paper work is submitted and Jon will use a loaner leg until we hear back from our insurance company.
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,” (II Corinthians 4:16, 17 NKJV)
