The Leedahls Update – April 27, 2015

What have we been up to since we got home?

Homeschooling the boys, visits with friends and family, going through containers we left in storage here when we left for PNG (wondering why I packed away some things?!) It’s amazing how quickly you lose sentimental value for things when you haven’t seen it for a year!

19602_10152898112497252_66037236220691578_nJon jumped into a tractor to help out and I’ve been helping my mother -in-law clean up the aftermath of renovating their home. The boys are loving the farm they missed so much!

On the farm there is never a dull moment. But as we work, we both are antsy to “hurry up” to get back to PNG to help our co-workers, having seen the great need for personnel on the field.

But God graciously nudges us with, “Be still…” Ps 46:10 And,” For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jer 29:11

The same God who has showed Himself faithful all along, hasn’t changed, He’s still working things all together for our good & for His glory!

Pray with us you guys, for renewed strength to do well everything that God puts before us during this season in life: waiting for healing, for Jon’s new leg, being re-certified to fly, etc.

Even though we ache to be in PNG, we enjoy seeing family & friends again. What a treat! We also look forward to some speaking events so we can meet more folks & thank you personally for all the love, prayers & support we’ve received!!

“Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place,” – Psalms 91:9, NKJV

The farm sounds wonderful and we are thankful you have that, as you “wait on the Lord”. Always praying for each one of you, knowing you are in His care, His timing, His plan!

It was great to Jon behind the controls of his helicopter and what a blessing it must be to be back on the farm to recover and rehab. From Chris Galloway

As thou goest step by step, the way shall open up before thee. (Prov. 4:12, Hebrew Version, from Streams in the Desert #2, July 28)

Ps. 27:14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD. Not so easy in this flesh, but that is what He asks of us. Continuing to pray for strength and healing and now for patience. So very thankful!!!

We are so happy for you that you are back in the FM area for precious family time and gaining strength and recovery. Know your hearts are in PNG, but all in God’s perfect time. For now, bask in family and friend love here. Our prayers continue, as well as do our grandkids pray for ‘Jon to get his new leg so he ran walk, run, and jump!’ 🙂
