The Leedahls Update – April 9, 2015

This week Jon’s stitches were removed, his picc line is out, and he’s off antibiotics. He’s a free man! His doctor said everything is looking good so far. Praise God!!

Jon gets his first shower tomorrow without having to put a taped bag over his stump. What’s the big deal? After nearly six months of a long shower prep time, he’s looking forward to just “hopping in.” These little steps are big for us in getting back to a “normal” life.

Now we have five weeks off from all doctor appointments (which will be really strange!!) while Jon’s stump continues to heal. So, we are headed back to Jon’s folks to recover there.

The next step will be coming back to Mayo in mid-May. Jon’s ordered his robotic leg and he will begin training on it at that time.Leedahls - 040915

Meanwhile, we are feeling so loved & taken care of here!! A sweet friend of the family brought a meal tonight. And we’ve had meals & sweets delivered. Cards and even packages are still trickling in. What a treat!! Thank you for blessing us!!

“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed That I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living. Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalms 27:13, 14 NKJV)

So glad to hear your good news. Have a wonderful time with Jon’s folks and a wee break from doctors. Please continue to be in prayer for Geoff as he is waiting on dates for two more surgeries, one for his shoulder and another for his wrist. Love in Him.

Thanks so much for your updates…I know they were not always easy to communicate. we appreciated the Word as well–a Light to direct our prayers! We met Jon’s folks at the Alliance conference homeschool meetings…Their wisdom, strength, love & encouragement I’m sure were a help.
we are praising the Father for His loving mercies, grace & healing for you and the family!
