The Leedahls Update – Fitted for temporary prosthetic

Just sitting here in awe at how quickly things have happened in just a week and a half. Jon’s recovering from his second surgery. He was tired & pale. His pulse rate stayed high, so he did have to get two units of blood on Thursday as his hemoglobin was low after losing a lot of blood in surgery and having some drainage from his stump.

Leedahls - 032815Yesterday Jon was perky, had more color, and was thrilled to have the prosthetics team create a cast mold to make his temporary prosthetic. It should be ready Monday. After what seems like a long time (it’s been 5.5 months) to be seeing a light at the end of this crazy tunnel, is just thrilling!

We are just so thankful to God for His direction to come here to Mayo, paving the way for us, and allowing things to fall into place. And then blessing us on top of all that with visits with very much missed family and friends back here in the States!

Honestly, you guys, we are exhausted after the traveling, surgery, and just recovering from everything! So, if you could, please pray for us, for renewed strength to be able to start this next faze of this long road that would be appreciated.

We’ve been blown away by all the love, prayers, support from everyone! Thank you again. Sometimes just saying thank you seems like it just doesn’t express it well enough. But guys I’m too tired to think of how else to say it.

With love & gratefulness tonight,
Adie & Jon Leedahl
Jaeden, Levi, and Jace

We thank God for all his answered prayers. But He’s not finished with us yet.
We need to thank Him for what He is about to do.

Just wanted to let you know we are praying for you and trusting God with your lives and ministry. Several times through the years of service with the Lord He has given us the privilege of suffering things we would have much rathered not to. But in God’s wisdom (not ours) He blessed us beyond our imagination. We pray that He will and is doing the same for you and your family. Don’t feel you have to answer us back. Allow God to take care of you and enjoy all the amazing things He will do. To God be the Glory, Jack and Janie Housley

    Jon and Adie,
Continuing to pray for and with you for all that the wants to accomplish in your lives. Thought of you the other day when I read 2 Corinthians 4:11. This encouraged me that when painful changes come that are hard to understand, God’s purpose for our lives is simply to prepare us for life in the next one. In one translation of Paul’s words, I read “These little troubles (or big ones) are getting us ready for an eternal glory that will make all our troubles seem like nothing (2 Corinthians 4:11 CEV)
    Keep hanging in
