We arrived!! After a send-off from sweet Steve & Paula Parker who came at 4 a.m. (can you believe it?) to help us with our piles of luggage, we made the long trip back to the U.S. of A. Thanks for praying for our flights. They all went smoothly. We had a few hiccups here and there at LAX, but who doesn’t?
We made it to Rochester, MN last night exhausted & numb, to stay with Jon’s lovely aunt and uncle who have opened up their home to us.
Thanks to Cam for making the round trip– she’s such a trooper!! We couldn’t have done it without her. The boys were thrilled to travel with Grandma.
We go in for Jon’s first appointment this morning at 8:00 a.m. CDT. It’s exciting and surreal to be going to Mayo!
You guys, it’s been a whirlwind of events: MRI results, packing & moving & flying across the world, so bear with us if we aren’t able to respond to all of the emails/FB messages we have received. We have gotten a lot of offers to help us–we appreciate everyone’s generosity! Thank you all! It may take a little while to figure out what we are doing.
As we wrap our minds around everything we’ve realized: this month has been one year since we left the states for PNG. And what a year it’s been!!
Pray for us as we seek answers & help at Mayo Clinic. Pray for guidance to the right doctors & the right treatment for Jon’s stump.
