The Leedahls Update – Feb. 10, 2015

We said goodbye to our dear friends Steve & Tracy Geis today. We so enjoyed visiting this past week. They had been through a trauma in PNG & rehab in Cairns several years ago. So blessed to share experiences with them & we were so encouraged! Thank you Ukarumpa family for sharing them with us!!

10991072_10152740583862252_494322192553456350_nMedical report: Jon went to see the docs on Saturday for possible tonsillitis. To be safe he went on antibiotics for a week. Jon had his post-op check today. Plastic Surgeon said Jon needs more then the two wound changes during the day. “We need to get aggressive with this wound.”

A home health nurse comes 2x a day already morning & night. So they taught me to change Jon’s dressing for a the mid-day change. Reason for changing so often is to keep any junk or “sluff” out. Keeping it clean will also help heal it faster, Lord willing.

Jon has also weaned himself off the Lyrica completely. So fun to see Jon coming out of the drugged state & seeing more spark!

Thank you for praying so faithfully for us guys! Even when things have slowed down, we still need your prayers! There is still a long road ahead. So glad we know the One who holds the future!!
Thank you also to everyone who has made meals, babysat, visited, emailed, FB messaged & texted. We are so blown away still by all of the love we have received from all over the world!!

Continue to pray for Jon’s stump to heal well with no infection. You all are a blessing!!

“…That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (Ephesians 3:17-21 NKJV)

  1. Continuing to pray for complete healing, no infection, etc. Praying for you too, Adie, as you care for Jon and your little guys. That is great that he is off the meds now. Little steps! Praise the Lord.

Hi Jon & Adie. We pray for you daily. We pray for continued healing for Jon and also for extra strength for Adie. We can identify somewhat. Stan is bedridden due to MS and Frieda is main caregiver. We know how much other’s help can be encouraging. We also serve with NTM in Sanford, FL (have done so for 50+ years!) Would love to meet you face to face. Stan also has a love for the flight program–he is former air force mechanic/flight engineer, etc. Appreciate your openness in sharing. Helps to know how to pray. Thank you for taking time from your busy lives to keep us informed. You all are still in my prayers. The healing process and grief for what has been lost (Geoff and myself know from experience), just takes time. So thankful we have the greatest healer on our side. Much love
