It’s SO hard to say goodbye to friends that have been with us since we arrived to Cairns for Jon’s medivac nearly 3 months ago. Can you believe it?
Michelle arrived the evening we got into Cairns to help out and be by our sides. What a HUGE help she has been to us!!!! She prayed with me, held my hand, hugged me, let me cry on her, listened and recorded all the doctors’ conversations with us, asked questions, cleaned, cooked, etc. She helped keep what could have been a really chaotic time more manageable and calm.
Because the Thompsons had a few stays in Cairns in the past, Michelle, is not only familiar to the area and hospital, she also knows people and even had a church family already established here. We originally met the Thompsons during our visits to the NTM PNG Lapilo center when we arrived in PNG last Spring.
Steven came to Cairns while Michelle headed back to PNG to help out with anything we needed. We are beyond THANKFUL for everything Steve helped us with: all the paperwork, taxi service, house projects, fix it projects, you name it. Thank you both for being such awesome support team to us and loving on us!!!!
Thank you Steven & Michelle for your love & care & sacrifices you made as a family to come & help our family during our time of need!!!
We thank God for you guys & pray for protection as you travel. We ask for wisdom & guidance & provision as you head back to serve on the field again.
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—
one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.” (Ephesians 4:1-4, 6, 7 ESV)
