So tired tonight! We are ready for a quieter week ahead. It’s the first time, in feels like forever we have no plans, no visitors–only one full day of appointments on Wednesday, but that’s it! Can I say hooray to that? Getting back into a routine sounds more & more appealing everyday. Thank you to those who are praying that way for us!
Our sweet Michelle Thompson & Steven Thompson head back to PNG Tuesday. So sad to see them go! Pray for these guys as they pack up & gear up to get back to the field again. Pray for God to surround them right now & to give them the energy to make the journey with four kiddos. They are such troopers though!
We shared lunch together with them and a fellow from NTM PNG. Our boys are really gonna miss their friends and we will miss Michelle and Steven very much!
We are SO thankful for the Thompson’s willingness to serve our family during this time!!
“For as in one body we have many members, and the members do not all have the same function, so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads, with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Never be wise in your own sight.” (Romans 12:2, 4-13, 15, 16 ESV)
