The Leedahls Update – Jan. 6, 2015

I had an early morning & just couldn’t keep my eyes open, kids were still asleep & so we ordered a taxi for Jon to go to his appt for his vac change this morning. I think it’s all finally catching up to me. So I slept till 10 a.m. while the kids slept in & played quietly for me. It felt amazing!!

So, I didn’t have to go pick him up until after lunch. Another chance to have a breather. The boys & I cleaned the house together–another good feeling! (of course, they expect to be paid…the little business men!)

Jon spent part of the afternoon opening up all the mail that collected at the hospital mailroom over the holidays. What fun!! Thanks for all the letters & packages!! And we enjoyed a quick visit from some folks this evening.

Now, it’s 7:15 p.m. & the boys are going to play a game with Daddy (after Jon Leedahl Ntm reheated leftover pizzas for dinner) & I’m going to bed!! With no plans to wake until after 9 a.m.! It’s the little things in life like this that make me so happy guys! G’nite!!

This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have hope. Through the Lord ’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly For the salvation of the Lord. It is good for a man to bear The yoke in his youth. Let him sit alone and keep silent, Because God has laid it on him;

Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion According to the multitude of His mercies. For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men.

Let us search out and examine our ways, And turn back to the Lord; Let us lift our hearts and hands To God in heaven.

I called on Your name, O Lord, From the lowest pit. You have heard my voice: “Do not hide Your ear From my sighing, from my cry for help.” You drew near on the day I called on You, And said, “Do not fear!” O Lord, You have pleaded the case for my soul; You have redeemed my life.” (Lamentations 3:21-28, 32, 33, 40, 41, 55-58)
