Enjoyed a day with Jon! Thanks to the Trostruds and Ottesens for watching the kids for us! Jon had his vacuum taken off & stump debrided again & assessed by the docs this morning. They would like to continue to have the vac for a couple more weeks to suction out anything that could be accumulating. It will help with the healing process. The antibiotics seem to be working as Jon continues to have normal temps!
Jon started work at the gym and things are a little tight and sore from not working out, but he did very well. So proud of him!
He needed a long nap so I took the opportunity for a long walk & a stop at my fave yogurt place. Mmmmmm!
Our evening ended with a DATE night, thanks to the Hannah Ottosen family!! It was wonderful to be out alone and have some time to just talk about life lately as we sat watching the boats come & go in the harbor. Jon is still pretty medicated so he’s more quiet, but it was SO nice to just have a little getaway after a busy past few weeks.
The evening ended with more friends arriving! Noel (Catharine Tuit Carpenter) arrived from PNG brought by his BFF Ryan Pennington. It was fun to have some laughs and see familiar faces again. Laughter is the best medicine!
“Then our mouth was filled with laughter, And our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” The Lord has done great things for us, And we are glad.” (Psalms 126:2, 3)
