The Leedahls Update – Nov. 30, 2014

1897963_10152573003572252_891466555703158827_nWe said goodbye to Jon’s mom Cam Leedahl last night as she had an really early flight home this morning. Jon and his Mom spent two hours together last night saying their tearful goodbyes. Jon was so thankful to see his Mom. It was a comfort to him to have her here. The boys just loved having Grandma here and I appreciated all of her help with every thing! From helping with kids, dishes, meals, PAPERWORK, learning to drive in Australia together, running errands, to being a second ear to listen to docs and nurses and even crying together with her several times as Jon had his rough patches. Thank you again, Cam–we love you!

Today Jon got to sleep in, we all shared lunch in the park, Jace got some Daddy-son time, and then Jon had a quiet afternoon to rest with some visitors this late afternoon. He is feeling so much better! Thank you for your faithful prayers for Jon! Praising God for answered prayers!!!

Tomorrow docs come in to assess again and he will also go back to the gym for his PT. Because he’s been sick he hasn’t been able to work his muscles. Pray his workouts go well!

Steve Trostrud & Donell Watson Trostrud have jumped right in with helping–and it’s fun to watch the boys just soaking up all the extra TLC!

Thankful!!

“For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:5-7)

    Dear Jon and Adie
So glad for the time the Lord gave you with your Mom. You have all remained in our thoughts and prayers, and we trust the Lord with you for an uneventful journey home for Cam. Sorry you have been so unwell with fevers but glad you have been fever free the last day. We stayed away so as not to overload you with visitors and wear you out. We did call in yesterday afternoon but your room was empty so perhaps you were at therapy or out for a walk with the family.
Glad for all the ways the Lord continues to undertake for you

Praise the Lord that Jon’s mom was able to be with him. What a blessing for both of them. PTL for no fevers!!! I’ve been praying so much that his fevers would go away and stay away. Glad for all the friends and help you’ve been getting Adie. Praying Jon’s PT will go well and he’ll be able to build up his muscles. We have an awesome God who is constantly with all of you!

So glad the fever is gone and Jon can contine with his PT and build up his muscles so he can get around, maybe take you dancing. Cam had a long ride but guess she arrived without couple of suitcases. Grandpa Don got up early on Black Friday to go to Menards. I guess he spent hours going through the ads in the paper and made a list of places to visit. Saturday he went to Fleet Farm, maybe I should teach him to shop online. Grandma Lois stayed home with Chloe. Bitter cold today, did buy groceries or else might have had to dip into cat food. Continued prayers and so glad you are surrounded by friends.

I have been so blessed reading the blogs. We praise God for all He is doing for you and for your continued blessing to others as you just share of God’s grace and goodness. Even though we’ve never met, you feel like family. I do know your dear mom, Cam, and I can only imagine what a blessing it was to have her with you for several weeks. I continue to pray for you here in Ontario.

    • Love the picture of Jon and his mom. Praise GOD for that comforting time. May GOD richly bless and keep you all. AMEN!
