Jon & Adie Leedahl Update – Nov. 11, 2014 @ 7:11 a.m. CT

Jon & Adie - 111114Was SO thankful for a date night tonight!! Jon Leedahl, I’ll do dinner and movie with you any day!! Thank you, Cam Leedahl and Steven Thompson, for babysitting for us.

Docs came in tonight and said Jon’s knee surgery will be this upcoming Monday. That’s exciting to hear they can work on him sooner than we expected! He also gets his cast cut off and stitches removed this Friday, if things look good. Pray for all that to go well.

We praise God for each of you guys and your HUGE encouragement & prayers for us!! We’ve gotten some notes from folks worried their letter will be lost in the “shuffle”. No worries, Jon is reading them all or I read them to him! We treasure each one and wish we could personally write to each and everyone one of you. Just know your kindness to our family through emails/letters/texts/calls has been so therapeutic!

“In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory,” – 1 Peter 1:6-8, NKJV

You continue to be much in my prayers. So glad you were able to have a date. Sure will be praying for the surgery on Fri. that the Lord will direct the surgeon’s hands and fill them with wisdom from above. May you both know the Lord’s peace that is all surpassing. Rest in His Almighty hands.

Glad for your date night. I tease my son in law when he takes my daughter on a date night to Barnes & Noble so they can read anything “free”. I think she makes him buy her an expensive cup of coffee. Problem of the day, cold & windy here so have to run an errand so should I wear a light jacket and freeze or my winter jacket and admit the cold is here to stay. Prayers for a successful surgery to come and healing will continue rapidity. Love that you keep us updated.

Dear Jon and Addie. I feel like I know you. Mikolovich’s sent us your link when the accident occurred and we have been praying and following it ever since. We will continue. Just couldn’t figure out how you respond until now. We sent a check to NTM for you. I couldn’t figure out how to do that here either. There are so many areas to pray for but I think the key is how God intends to use your trials for His glory. The people you work among are reading you and comparing it to what u teach. Praise God you are a answering that call to His glory. My continued prayer besides health is that through the difficult process ahead you will be filled by the Holy Spirit, with power to remain focused on God rather than difficulties. My prayer also is for a window of opportunity in softened hearts. “God bless and keep you and make His face to shine upon you and give you peace.”

So good to hear that you’ll be having your knee surgery earlier than expected. I’ve been praying Gods miracle in your healing. God is so good and He is using you and your family to reach people around the world. Gods blessings on you all. My prayer is for a miraclerigious healing. God is so good

Still praying for y’all here in NE Georgia! It’s getting cold even in the deep South! 🙂 I’m so glad y’all are able to get out of the hospital for a while sometimes. Hoping y’all have a chance to enjoy Thanksgiving coming up. We’ll be praying as a family for your knee surgery.
    Much love and prayers,
Your Siblings in Christ the Young Family,

I have been following your condition since it happened. I am from the Calvary Church in Bagley so I know Don and Lois and have been praying for them for years. When I first went to your site I was encouraged myself. You are amazing and awesome in your love for our Lord. God bless you each and every day as He helps you thru this.
