UPDATE on Jon, from his mom:
This was a good day.
Jon looked better this morning than we have yet seen, one reason being that last night he got four hours of uninterrupted sleep. Adie and he were able to spend some much needed quiet hours alone together. Later in the morning, Karl and Elaine Mosby, formerly with NTM, came to encourage and offer some practical assistance.
Physical therapy has resumed, some of which Jon can do in his bed, others of which he does in the therapy room, wheeling himself the short distance over there.
While Jon rested in the afternoon, Adie enjoyed a very pleasant outing that Candy Burns had arranged with several women from Trinity Baptist Church. This is the church that Adie and the boys attended several days ago.
Tonight was “guys night”. Steven and JJ wheeled Jon out to a restaurant, ending the evening with a movie in his room.
We are thankful for family and friends who lift Jon and Adie’s spirits, who bring laughter, comforting words and spiritual encouragement.
