Jon Leedahl Update – Oct. 16, 2014 @ 7:06 a.m. CT

IMG_4418Jon came out of surgery; he is still in the recovery room — praise God, he still has his right leg!

The surgeon said that the artery was crushed, but intact. They will have to take him back into surgery again tomorrow to “check the muscles and rewash the wounds as our worry is that these muscles may die as they have had a tourniquet on for so long.” Of lesser concern, the surgeons found the ligaments in his right knee torn and all the ligaments in his left foot were badly torn.

Pray that the circulation in his right leg will be enough to keep the muscle tissues alive. Pray for the doctors to have the wisdom and skill to make the right decisions as they reassess him tomorrow in the operating room.

Thank you, prayer warriors!
