Thank you all for your prayers!
We arrived in Ukarumpa at the Wycliffe (SIL) Center safe and sound. Thank you all for your prayers for our family, safety on the roads and for our transition here in Papua New Guinea. We are settling into a temporary guest house until we move into a more permanent place in June. We have been welcomed and loved on since the moment we stepped out of the airplane into Papua New Guinea. What a great team of people we have here in New Tribes Mission and SIL making it easier for us newbies to transition!
What a beautiful country! Flowers every where, green grass, all kinds of trees, mountains, valleys, farm land and huts. We have had a chance to get a little taste of the culture with shopping in town, at the market and meeting the PNG nationals that work with our fellow missionaries.
How to pray for our family for the next weeks
We are working on figuring out how to set up orientation and language learning while we are here at SIL. Pray for us as we work out all of the details.
Jon is excited about getting to work starting April 7th! He’ll start with getting familiar with the staff, procedures, studying and taking a test. Pray for him as he will get busy and need to be rested and ready to learn a lot of things in the coming weeks and months. Pray for the kids and Adie as they transition to life here in Papua New Guinea while he is at work.
Thank you all for your prayers, notes and love you have shown our family!
Our new address while we are at Ukarumpa is: Ukarumpa SIL PO Box 1 (263) EHP 444 PNG We are so grateful for your interest in our ministry here in PNG and excited to get involved with the work here!
